Apex Cinema Gear was founded in 2022 by camera operators Justin Danzansky and Stephen Siegel with a simple goal: to solve real-world problems and create innovative solutions for professionals in the film industry.

As they honed their skills in design and manufacturing and gained support from the filmmaking community, their focus naturally shifted toward what they knew best — the Steadicam.

Apex began producing GPI PRO–compatible components, earning a reputation for quality, precision, and creativity. In April 2025, the opportunity arose to acquire GPI PRO Systems, the industry’s leading name in professional Steadicam equipment.

Since the acquisition, the team has infused new energy into GPI PRO, releasing a range of new products within the first six months and continuing to push the boundaries of innovation.

Together, Apex Cinema Gear and GPI PRO Systems remain dedicated to advancing the art and technology of camera stabilization — designing tools that help operators bring their vision to life.
